Privacy Policy
I keep this simple, because that's how I try to keep everything here. This page explains what information Carol Renwick Wellness collects, why, and the choices you have. I don't sell your information, and I only work with a few trusted services to run this little shop and newsletter.
Who I am
This website, carolrenwick.com, is run by Carol Renwick Wellness ("I", "me", "we") — gentle, natural wellness writing and simple digital guides for women over 40, written from a kitchen table in Tuscany. If you have any question about this policy, you can reach me at carol@carolrenwick.com.
What I collect, and why
- Your email address — only if you choose to subscribe to my free letters. I use it to send you those letters and nothing else. You can unsubscribe at any time from the bottom of any email.
- Order details — if you buy one of my digital guides. Payment and order information is collected and processed by Gumroad, my store provider. I never see or store your full card details.
- Basic technical information — like the pages you visit, sent automatically by your browser (for example your approximate region and device type). I use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (Umami, self-hosted — it doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites) to understand, in aggregate, what's useful. This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of its own.
The services I use
To run this site I rely on a small number of trusted providers, each with their own privacy policy:
- Substack — hosts my newsletter sign-up and sends my letters. (Substack privacy)
- Gumroad — handles my shop, checkout and payments. (Gumroad privacy)
- Pinterest — I share my own content there. (Pinterest privacy)
- Umami — self-hosted, cookieless website analytics. Your data stays on my own server, isn't sold, and isn't shared with any ad network. (Umami privacy)
About my Pinterest tool
I use a small in-house tool, "Carol Renwick Wellness Planner", together with the Pinterest API, to schedule and publish my own wellness graphics to my own Pinterest account. It authenticates only with my account and is used solely to create and manage my own Pins and boards. It does not collect, store, or process the personal data or Pinterest content of any other person.
How your information is used
- To send you the free letters you asked for.
- To deliver the digital guides you buy and provide support.
- To keep the site working and understand, in aggregate, what's helpful.
I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and I don't share it except with the providers above who help me run the site.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from my letters at any time. You may also ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just write to carol@carolrenwick.com and I'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — those rights are respected here.
Children
This site and my guides are meant for adults. They're not directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Any changes take effect as soon as they're posted here.
